I hadn't really heard of Jazzmatazz when they played House of Blues in New Orleans.. I was working at HOB as a monitor engineer at the time and sometimes when your working a sound gig.. you get a crash introduction to a band and its music is on the spot.

My friend(and fellow Bleecker Brother) Albert freaked when i told him i had mixed for Guru and Jazzmatazz.... he was already a huge fan.

The show at HOB-NO was a particularly good one.. Guru thanked me for a good monitor mix, "Yeah, you got the bass right.. first time we had the bass sounding right." and when the show was over, he met me again at the front bar and bought me a beer. That was nice.

Albert again freaked when i told him this... "Guru bought you a beer?!... shit."
